How to figure out values to give to SAGE_ATLAS_ARCH

I want to use the environment variable SAGE_ATLAS_ARCH. My laptop is a dual core os x. How do I know whether it corresponds to CoreDuo or Core2 or Corei2 or whatever else? Same question for my desktop running Ubuntu?

Atlas is not used on OS X, so need to worry about that case. In general, the syntax for that variable is described in the Sage installation guide.
