Sage 4.8 installation on Mac OSX 10.7.x

Hi

I'm new to Sage - just downloaded the package and installed it.

Got this error when I first launched it.

mkdir: /Users/thomas/.sage: Permission denied cp: /Users/thomas/.sage: Permission denied

I tried to install both 4.7 and 4.8 but both gives the same error

I don't think this is a problem with sage, but a problem with your account. Are you logged in as thomas? If so what is the output of "ls -l /Users"? Does it have a line that contains thomas that starts with drwx?
