I installed Sage 9.2 (the .dmg file) on MacOS (Catalina 10.15) and everytime I click on sage, I get a notification saying "“python3.8” cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified." then I click cancel and after that I am not able to type anything in Sage. This message shows up in the Terminal:

Last login: Wed Nov 18 11:50:19 on ttys000 /Applications/SageMath/sage ; exit; Lela@MacBook-Air ~ % /Applications/SageMath/sage ; exit; /Applications/SageMath/src/bin/sage-python: line 2: 79727 Killed: 9 sage -python "$@"

[Process completed]

Can someone please help me? I really don't understand what to do to make it run.

Thanks in advance! Lenka

Rather than hitting "cancel", you should be able to open the "Security & Privacy" panel in System Preferences and allow the application to open.

Go to System preferences > Security and privacy > Privacy and then look for "Developer Tools", you should see after clicking it, it says "Allow the apps below to run software locally that does not meet the system's security policy." Select terminal (make sure the lock on the bottom left is unlocked). After this you should be able to open sage. You can uncheck the terminal after this.
