how can i open sage software?
hello, i tried to open sage with linux into vmware but it didnt worked. i also tried to open with windows 7 X64 but still no result. please help meeee..
In order to run sage on a Linux OS you should:
Download the proper compiled version of sage.
Extract the files.
Once the files are extracted, enter to the created folder and give execution permission to the sage file (this can be achieved by right-clicking the file -> Permissions -> click the executable box)
Now double click the sage file, and choose run in terminal. Depending of the Linux distribution this step could fail, in that case:
Open a terminal
Move tho the sage folder
./sageHope this would help you.

Can you give us a few more details (perhaps by editing your question) about what you tried? It's not clear what steps you actually followed. See for example http://wiki.sagemath.org/SageAppliance
