attempted to install sage for 12.04 ubuntu onto 12.10 ubuntu on laptop. System responds to ./sage with permission denied. I am unsure what to do. I can't run make, and running as root isn't working either. Please advise?

I think is the "sage",I mean the script file "sage" has no privilege to be executed. you can type this command to have a try: sudo chomd a+x /path/to/sage
