Hi,
I have just installed sagevmware4.6 in VMWare Player on my PC at home (Direct Internet Connection) and on my PC at my workplace (Internet Connection thru a proxy with authentication) on Windows 7 platforms. Unfortunately I couldn't connect to the internet neither using the web browser nor the terminal.
I appreciate your help.

This is a question about the vmware software, not Sage. Try downloading one of the linux VMWare appliances and see if the internet connection works there. I would try looking for help with network problems in the VMWare forum (http://communities.vmware.com/index.jspa)

Is your problem similar to the one described in the related question shown at right "cannot go online within Sage" (http://ask.sagemath.org/question/399/cannot-go-online-within-sage )?  If so, the suggestions offered there might be helpful.
