the first link is

which does not link to any file. Please fix this.

Filling a ticket on trac requires to create an account first and some experience with development. Note that ask.sagemath.org is also a very good way to report bug for users that are not developers, it allows to get feedback from people that won't fill tickets. See the tags:

Regarding efficiency, see Samuel's answer :)
Of course, for recurrent ask.sagemath.org users which seem to be close to becoming developers, we should convice them that they could contribute directly to Sage development. But droping a report on ask.sagemath.org is already a good move.
