2014-02-20 00:20:40 +0200 | commented answer | Why does my browser not ask me to save my cloud password ? I did some more testing: I am only experiencing this issue on Chromium, Firefox stores the login data just fine. |

2014-02-12 08:46:10 +0200 | asked a question | Why does my browser not ask me to save my cloud password ? Modern browsers usually offer to save your password for you. This is convinient, and ( I have been told ) a security feature, since your browser usually is better at deciding whether you are really at the site that you intended to be at. Is this completely backwards ? Why does cloud.sagemath not indicate to my browser that password has been entered ? Is this a feature that is planned for the future ? Are there good reasons why this should not be implemented ever ? |
2014-02-12 08:38:46 +0200 | asked a question | openid to login to cloud At the moment, cloud.sagemath.com requires me to create an account. sagenb and ask.sagemath allow me to login using the OpenID provider of my choice. Will logging into cloud.sagemath with OpenID become an option in the future, or are there good reasons why this is a bad idea ? |

2011-02-02 06:13:48 +0200 | marked best answer | building sage-4.6.1 from source fails because of missing fortran No, this is intended behavior. On OS X (Mac) we provide a fortran (different one depending on the version). The directions about fortran are correct. On the other hand, it is still less clear than it should be that one needs fortran. There have been a number of changes in the README lately. See this sage-devel thread for (hopefully) some informed responses. But again, to answer your direct question - no, not a bug. |
2011-01-19 13:04:35 +0200 | asked a question | building sage-4.6.1 from source fails because of missing fortran The list of dependencies at the top of the README does not mention fortran. However, a bit later in the README, it says that fortran is required, and even that I have to set some environment variables. I have found, I can build sage fine by installing gfortran. Is this a bug ? |
