Hi, I have been using sage on my ubuntu for at least 3 years now. Up to february of last year, I have been keeping it up to date thanks to the ppa: https://launchpad.net/~aims/+archive/ubuntu/sagemath But it is now sage 8.0+, and the ppa is still at version 7.5. I really wonder why it is not kept updated anymore.
I tried to use some prebuilt binaries proposed for downloading on sagemath.org, however these solutions do not seem to be as simple and integrated to the system as the classic way to install sage. Thanks for answers.
