I just did a fresh install of SAGE 5.3 on a clean Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, with essentially no problems at all. Now I would like to use it as a cell server too. Can anyone point me to a page with up-to-date instructions on how to do this?

Just to be clear: I want to use the same SAGE installation as both a notebook server AND a cell server.

Right now, the patches to Sage for it to be a cell server break some of the functionality in the notebook (for example, the html.table command and the jmol stops working correctly in the notebook). We welcome help to fix it, but as it is now, you'll need two different Sage installations.

That's bad news. I just can't wait to see the cell server included in the default SAGE installation. I think cell server and notebook complement each other nicely. I guess I can put both SAGE installations on the same computer? I'd like to have the notebook on port 80 and the cell server on 8080, say. And can you tell me where I can find up to date instructions on how to patch SAGE? I've done it once, so I should be able to do it again. I'd love to help, but frankly, I don't think I'm up to it.
