Since you probably have multiple network interfaces (or are you sharing with the internet?), you might want to use the "interface" optional argument to notebook as well. The Sage online-help for notebook() describes these in detail.

I believe you can launch the notebook with 'notebook(require_login=False)' to achieve that effect. I know it works locally, but I only assume that it's therefore accessible by anyone with access to it over the network.
