.sage files aren't running, and I have no idea what's happening

Hiya!

I just installed Sage to use it with LaTeX on Windows using the installer with the default paths. I read through the "using SageTeX" tutorial and completed all the steps, and I successfully generated a .sagetex.sage file. Using sage normally works, as far as I can tell, but I can't load any files at all - trying to open the .sage file with sage just opens a console window and closes it instantly (sometimes with text that I can't see, sometimes without seemingly). I'm not sure if it matters, but my files are located in the OneDrive - but when I tried to create a .sage file in a separate drive, Sage couldn't read it either apparently. I've also tried looking for both .sage files using the Sage console, but it would return an OSError: did not find file 'D:\scripts\test.sagetex.sage' to load or attach. Any help would be appreciated - I've spent like 3 hours digging around the internet to try and find a solution, to no avail.

Thank you so much!!
