I am using Cocalc recently, but I would also like to try SageMath. Could anyone give me any idea what kind of function is in SageMath but not in Cocalc?

SageMath is a free open-source mathematics software system licensed under the GPL. It builds on top of over a hundred existing open-source packages, letting users access their combined power through a common, Python-based language or directly via interfaces or wrappers.

SageMath's mission statement is: creating a viable free open source alternative to Magma, Maple, Mathematica and Matlab.

CoCalc is an online computing environment, giving users online access to Ubuntu environments with lots of free software pre-installed; in particular users can do mathematical computations using SageMath or other math software, but they can also do lots of other things. In addition, CoCalc has collaborative features and course management abilities.

Both were created by William Stein. See his recent talks at ICMS 2018:

Additionally, and perhaps a source of confusion, CoCalc was originally called SageMathCloud, and one of its driving purposes was to make Sage more easily accessible through a nice cloud-based environment. However, its functionality grew far beyond just Sage, and it was realized that it had a market beyond just people wanting to use Sage, hence the name change.
