I am using sage 6.7 on OS X 10.10, precompiled version. I had several previous versions of sage and had set an admin password, which I possibly forgot. I reset the password by entering

sage: notebook(reset=True)

from the terminal. I was prompted for a new password and then to repeat it, which I did:

I was told password was changed for user "admin".

No password was demanded to access the notebook interface.

Now I tried signing out of the notebook session and logging in again. The new password failed.

So I can get to the notebook interface via Safari, without a password. But I cannot login with a password.

This is actually important to me since I would like to access the notebook interface from Firefox, in order to trouble shoot another interface problem. Here a password is demanded.

Hi, Is there anything particular you have done to make it work? I am having a similar issue here and it doesn't work for me. Any help would be appreciated. Best,
