Creating a Sage notebook account without using Open ID

When I go to sagenb.org (or www.sagenb.org), the login screen appears. There are two ways to proceed. One is to type in a username and password, and the other is to go through an open id provider (like google). The latter has been causing problems.

My question is, how do I create an account just by creating a username and password? I want to avoid it syncing up with my google account.

Two quick points, neither of which is that exciting, and neither of which answers your actual question, to which the probable answer is "you can't any more", which was probably instituted for security reasons.

It is probably not advisable to use sagenb.org for a long time, as eventually the maintainer is going to switch it off in favor of the Sage Math Cloud. That is unfortunate but reality. (For instance, it is still at 5.11, whereas the current Sage is 6.4.1.)
Google's implementation of open id is going away anyway, which will indeed be very annoying to many third-party apps.
