Hi! My laptop gave me the option to update a bunch of stuff on my Mintlinux (think "Ubuntu") installation including FireFox and I took it. Now JMOL works just fine! I guess you have to keep everything up to date. Case dismissed! No further problems. cheers, MathBear ^,..,^
