Kevin Buzzard's profile - overview

I am Kevin Buzzard, an algebraic number theorist living and working in London England.

In March 2015 I decided I would try and learn to use sage, because I really believe in it and yet I had barely ever used it. The problem was that I didn't know any python. I learnt python at the end of 2014 by reading "Dive into python" and am now very slowly but surely trying to get some magma code I have written in the past to run in sage. My involvement in this site is an attempt to beef up my understanding of sage before I start the process of the translation in earnest.

If there is anyone out there who would like to help me, or even do the job for me, then that would also be great. I am particuarly interested in translating of some code which computes properties of the restriction to a decomposition group at $p$ of the mod $p$ Galois representation associated to a modular form.
