Using the small group library in Sage notebook

Is there any way to import groups from the GAP small group library into Sage notebook?

I've tried importing the library using the terminal, but I haven't been able to. When I run

sage -i database_gap

while running sage, I get an invalid syntax error.

I am running Mac OS X 10.12.5
