Has anybody implemented in Sage the Ritt-Wu algorithm for solving multivariate polynomial equations? Apparently (I've never used it, although I'd certainly like to try it!) it can be used as an alternative to the better known technique of Groebner bases. There is a wsolve operation in Maple, but I don't have access to Maple.
