How do you solve 3/4+5/8?

Hi I need help solving this math problem. 3/4+5/8. The answer is 1 3/8 but I'm having trouble understanding. Hpw they got that answer.

While it's possible that the OP really wanted arithmetic help, I think this is a reasonable interpretation of the question.
