What is the default admin password for a local sage installation?

It doesn't seem to be any of the following: sage password passwd sagepass sage0

I am using Sage 5.5 on OSX 10.7.5. I use Chrome as a default browser but that doesn't play well with Java anymore. I am willing to switch to Firefox for sage usage, but I can't seem to login to the admin account!

I also can't get the default browser to switch. tried changing the settings files, but no dice. fixing that seems an alternate solution.

Are you using the virtualbox image? If yes, then look here maybe: http://wiki.sagemath.org/SageAppliance If not, then the first time the notebook is started, it should have asked you for a password.

No, I am using a precompiled version. I have tried resetting the password, too, but without luck.

What did you do to reset the password? The command should be like this `/path/to/sage -n reset=True`.

I started the notebook server with notebook(reset=True)
