Is it possible to simplify the login screen of notebook interface? I cannot see the login boxes (username/pass) from my Kindle browser to my own server or sagenb.org.

Just modify SAGE_ROOT/devel/sagenb/sagenb/data/sage/html/login.html and restart your notebook.

Or are you asking if we can make a change to the default screen for everyone?

Thanks for the info. I can also remove the authentication in my server, though not recommended but fairly easy soluti?n for local network. I did not understand why login boxes do not appear on Kindle. It would be really nice if it is compatible with standard html elements. Several sites using multiple-id-login screens (such as openid, google, facebook, twitter id's) works with Kindle but not sagenb. Is it possible to change it for everyone, so that other people also benefit from sage by their kindle?

I found another solution, myself, which also reveals a potential bug in kindle's experimental browser. Neither in portrait mode nor landscape mode, one can see the login section. The default width of the device is 600px, but I don't know the browser's specifications.

I also did a test with internet explorer with a narrow window. The login part is not shown either!

It might be wise to move the login box to the left or to the top but not to the right, especially, for new devices with narrow screens.

PS: My solution is the modified version of the login screen of sagenb.org and put it in my homepage without providing any link (i.e., not public). Now, I am using sagenb.org from my kindle just by logining from modified login screen on my website.

What did you do? Did you just move the login to the left instead of the right?
