Problem with loading sagemath packages on jupyter notebook

asked 2025-02-21 19:44:06 +0100

I have installed SageMath 9.2 in my new lenovo LOQ (12GB RAM). It gets installed and wheni run sage though jupyter notbook, it shows the kernel sagemagth. But, it isn't loading sage packages. For instance, it shows error for is_prime(2). It is simply working like a jupyter notebook with python. I need to invoke modules.

I tried asking chat gpt. But I was tired of failures of every solution of GPT.

How to rectify? However the same sagemath (version 9.3) worked extremely we'll on my other laptop Asus (TUF) with alsmot same configuration.

I even tried uninstalling and installing. I also tried sagemath 9.3. It didn't work. What to do?

SageMath 9.3 is about four years old. Is there any way for you to install a newer version? Sage 10.5 is the latest, released in October 2024.
