Hi, i'd like to dedicate to Jupyter SageMath another browser than the one i use for daily life.

When i double click on a .ipynb file, it shows a window for selecting between terminal and Jupyter notebook.

If i choose jupyter notebook i cannot choose which browser to use, it seems to be sent to the globally defined default browser for this user account on this computer.

How to send it to another one?

Sorry this is maybe a basic question. i run macOS. Vinz

hi just spent one hour with that…

i summarize my tries here :

  • nteract ; it is not 100% efficient : slow to charge, not alt+enter shortcut, show("") doesn't seem to work…

  • pineapple (https://nwhitehead.github.io/pineapple/) very good but show("") doesn't seem to work, unable to find any forum on this app ; also, "download to html" seems not to work…

  • ipnbviewer (https://bioequity.org/ipynbviewer/) doesnt work dont remember why

  • i have resinstalled Sagemaths ; now, i have to launch SageMaths and choose in my default jupyter folder ; so, no solution for me at this moment to open by double click ; i wont modify anything now…

thanks

for the stackoverflow thread, it is beyond my informatic level

i have installed nteract ; it is not 100% efficient : slow to charge, not alt+enter shortcut, show("") doesn't seem to work… i have aksed these questions on their discord server ; but i need to work, then i have desinstalled nteract ; but now, when i double click on a .ipynb file the os does not know any longer which app to call. So i dont know any longer how to open my .ipynb…

Sorry about that. Maybe reinstall the macOS SageMath app?
