How to add tick marks in bounding frame of 3d plots?

I am plotting spherical coordinates so my tickmarks for my theta and phi are steps of pi and pi/2 respectively.

I am afraid this is not easily doable at the moment. All the 3d plot options are here and none of them regards tickmarks.

If not easily doable, what is the hard do?
