interactive tutorial?

Hi,

I've just installed SageMath 8.6 on my Debian pc with the apt-get command. Everything has run smoothly so far.

I just can't find the promised interactive tutorial from the Help menu in the Jupyter notebook. If I click on Help > Sage Tutorial it opens a new window with a non-interactive tutorial...

Maybe I'm missing something

OK thanks for your answer

Making that tutorial available as a notebook would be very helpful for newcomers like me.

These instructions are for the old sagenb notebook, which you can start by

sage --notebook=sagenb

The documentation should be updated to clarify this.

Hopefully these notebooks will also be made available in Jupyter (I'm not sure if they currently are).

If you have a Trac account, yes it is a very good idea to open a ticket for this. Unfortunately I don't think we have a live documentation viewer for Jupyter as we did for sagenb. That has probably been mentioned on sage-devel but could be worth bringing up again.
