How do I upgrade from 8.2 to 8.3 on Windows without loosing my worksheets? Please answer for a non-OS savy, casual SageMath user. Thank you.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean. First of all, 8.3 hasn't been released yet for Windows, though I'm hoping to try to get that done today. Second of all, what exactly are you afraid of "losing"? Unless you were using interfaces that were deprecated and since removed in your worksheets (and you would have seen a deprecation warning if so), they should continue to work as normal (on any OS).

I was worried that I would loose my worksheet files. This isn’t normal behavior when upgrading software but I seen a post from a few years back where someone was concerned about this. The response was to involved and that got me worried that unless I do something similar, my worksheets would disappear.

Well, have you thought of duplicating you worksheets into an element or something? That would avoid losing your work.

Duplicating them into a what? Element? Sorry, you need to talk to me like i am a 5 year old when it comes to computer stuff sometimes. LOL

I hope all the data files for this program are left alone with an update. I would expect them to be but it was just a post that got me worried. I just might have been misled by that post.

What post? Anyways, worksheets are just files and they will work all the same from Sage version to Sage version, with the slight exception that one happens to be using interfaces that get changed significantly between versions. This doesn't usually happen though, and when it does you'll get deprecation warnings about it for a while first.
