I made a 3d graph and right clicked for viewing choices. I get a list but clicking on any of the list items does nothing. Using Sage on Windows 8 in Virtualbox.

I think we need more information here.  Jupyter, sagenb, command line? jsmol, jmol (Java), three.js? (If you can ascertain any of these, thanks.)
