Sage Math future (notebook vs cloud vs jupiter)?

Hello!

For some years I have used Sage but only on my local PC and via notebook. Now I am noticing that Sage Cloud becomes more popular, it has jupiter and the interface differs a lot.

So, I have a some general questions about the future of Sage Notebook, Sage Cloud and jupiter:

Is using Sage Notebook is the 'recommended' way of using sage offline (or I should google about jupiter)?
Will something like Sage Cloud Docker replace the use of Sage's binary and Sage's Notebook in the future?

There is a plan to replace the legacy Sage notebook with the Jupyter notebook as of Sage 8.0, which will be the release after the next one. Here is some discussion about the change. This will bring Jupyter to the desktop along with automatic conversion of legacy notebooks.

The (manual) conversion of legacy Sage notebooks to Jupyter notebooks is already implemented in Sage (since version 7.4), via the command sage -n export; see sage -n --help for details.

Also, the legacy notebook would still be available, just not the default or recommended for new users.
