I need help installing sage on my ubuntu 16 laptop.
I lack enough karma to post the details.

The problem was easy to fix with some shell commands:
cd ~
mv anaconda3 anaconda3bak
SageMath/sage
quit
mv anaconda3bak anaconda3

If you're having trouble posting non-image stuff, let us know; you should be able to post at least a summary. Alternately, this sort of thing is usually more easily resolved in a 'thread' format such as sage-support@googlegroups.com, so I recommend you try there.
PS short answer is you should experience success building from scratch
