I just downloaded 2014-05-25-sage-6.2-debian-wheezy-live-3.0.5-1.img, the install file for the Sage Live Cd that I wanted to experiment with. I was expecting an .iso file that I could transfer to a USB pendrive, but I don't know what to do with this .img-file. I can't seem to find the appropriate instructions on the Live CD webpages.
Can someone provide me a useful link to the installation instructions?
Thank you very much. I was confused reading the Wiki, because it mentions three different Sage Live CD's. Anyway, that's how I understood it. I was following links to the Puppy Linux CD, but ended up downloading the debian one (it even says so in the filename, sorry for being so blind). I'll try debian first then.
To complement @fidbc answer, the last link is not up-to-date since my lab removed remote ssh acces. Now the images are uncompressed and start with 2014, not 2013. The second link is updated.
If you are running Linux, a simple
dd if=2014-05-25-sage-6.2-debian-wheezy-live-3.0.5-1.img of=/dev/sdX bs=1M
should work, where /dev/sdX is the device corresponding to the USB drive. Note that it is only for building the first live USB, if you want to spread it to various drives, the other can be cloned/updated by booting from this first one (with the advantage of taking all the drive space (no gparted required to enlarge the partition), and keeping existing personal data if you use the upgrade option).

As I said, I find the wiki very confusing. The wiki shows two links to downloadpages: http://www.lirmm.fr/~monteil/hebergement/sagedebianlive/ and http://sagemath.org/download-livecd.html Neither one of them has the link to the Sage Debian Live homepage. But of course, the wiki's homepage itself links to http://sagedebianlive.metelu.net/ (Sage debian homepage) and http://boxen.math.washington.edu/home/emil/doc/html/en/ (Sage puppy homepage)
The wiki page is an old working page whose aim was to list all existing (or forthcoming) live running Sage and informations on them, not an official documentation. The develoment of the Sage Puppy live CD stopped (though Emil (who used to build it) still has a debian-based small CD build in mind) and was replaced with Sage Debian Live. Thanks for reporting, i will update the wiki accordingly. By the way, if you see any problem of difficulty with the live, do not hesitate to send feed back.
