Please help me determine the y-value at the maximum regarding this parabola. I tried solving it 2 times! The shape of the parabola is open down so has a maximum at it’s summit. The math question gave a table and data. I figured out the zeros and axis of symmetry. Here is the necessary information:

First Zero: (0,0) x1 = 0

Second Zero: (80,0) x2 = 80

Equation of the axis of symmetry:

x1 + x2 / 2

= 0 + 80 / 2

= 80 / 2

= 40

Thanks!

This is more appropriate for http://math.stackexchange.com/ - this is for the math *software* Sage.
