Hi, everyone. I have a problem with Sage Test where my accounts keep turning read-only seemingly at random while I am working.

I get the message 'Account is read only. You may download or delete worksheets or data.' appearing at the top of each page, and then I can't run any computations and have to get a new account.

Is there any way I can stop this happening?

EDIT: I am using test.sagenb.org and logging in with a Google account on a low-end machine running Windows 7/Chrome browser and sometimes Linux Mint/Firefox, but can only remember the problem occurring in Windows.

Can you clarify whether you are using this online (for instance, at sagenb.org) or in your own local installation? Any information about OS, browser, etc. would be really helpful too.

Sorry, yes. I'm using test.sagenb.org on both Windows 7/Google Chrome and Linux Mint/Firefox (both on the same machine, which is pretty low-end). I log in using a Google account. I'm afraid I can't actually remember if it's happened when I have been using Linux, but it's certainly happened while using Windows/Chrome. Could it make a difference?

Why did you start using test.sagenb.org? IIRC, it is only for *testing* and is meant mostly for developers. As far as I know, it is not advertised openly in sagemath.org. That said, test.sagenb.org is working for me. It is very slow though.

I was told by my supervisor to use sage online rather than from my own installation. I am doing quite a lot of computation and have quite a lot of data, so maybe it can't handle it. I guess I could try installing it locally. Is that how most people are using it?

Of course you are welcome to use the online sage, but you should stick to sagenb.org which is considered more "reliable" in that it is not a server for testing future releases of sage. I am not sure if test.sagenb.org has some extra patches over the default installation of sage. Possibly it doesn't.
