When I plot each of the plots separately the ticks are what I intend. Unfortunately, the figure produced using graphics_array has ticks that bare no resemblance to the original plots. I have not found any way of controlling the ticks that appear in the panels created by graphics_array.
Thanks in advance for any help that I can get.

I am working with various plots in the complex plane, for instance:
points([CDF(a // 5 - 3 + (a % 5 - 2)*i) for a in range(0, 35)])
How would one go about deleting the minor ticks? This is a particular case of the more general question: how does one gain finer control over matplotlib parameter when working with sage plotting primitives? (especially grids, axes, ticks, etc.).
I have tried passing Locator and Formatter arguments to `points`, but as far as I can tell this affects both major and minor ticks. I have also tried working with matplotlib objects direcly via points(...).matplotlib(), where one can then fine-tune those elements. But I cannot actually get it to plot what I would expect after modifying them.
Please help! And thank youantoniomgWed, 06 Nov 2019 14:30:41 +0100https://ask.sagemath.org/question/48647/No tick markshttps://ask.sagemath.org/question/39931/no-tick-marks/I want to create a generic graph without tick marks on the y-axis. eottoMon, 04 Dec 2017 01:32:18 +0100https://ask.sagemath.org/question/39931/Graphics array without tickshttps://ask.sagemath.org/question/38271/graphics-array-without-ticks/Hello,
how can I create a graphics array consisting of 4 graphs without ticks? I tried this:
p1=plot(EllipticCurve([0,0,0,-1,2]), color='red', ticks=[[],[]])
p2=plot(EllipticCurve([0,0,0,1,-1]), color='red', ymin=-3, ymax=3, ticks=[[],[]])
p3=plot(EllipticCurve([0,0,0,-1,-1]), color='red', ymin=-4, ymax=4, ticks=[[],[]])
graphics_array(((p1,p2),(p3,p1)))
But it doesn't work. Only the last graphic is without ticks. Thank you very much! :)test1234Sat, 15 Jul 2017 09:16:53 +0200https://ask.sagemath.org/question/38271/how do I change the color of the tickshttps://ask.sagemath.org/question/33261/how-do-i-change-the-color-of-the-ticks/ I have this [sage cell](https://sagecell.sagemath.org/?z=eJxFjsFqwzAQRO-F_oNQLhKsje1bKTr7B3oMNkq8agWqZVYbW87XRw6B3GaG2beTYYc7MNxgNWK1pGR-J1J_f36cgmXM9YpXjjROGPy_Z6Sk5Pkc7PwbUEgQxdDLHEdOFYw2X1UeumofuhL1ZgmRxxfHeQyTcvXknVMaROlXbQNtc-j9rblQ02IJZzY_dEMQ4olZop85mbYDcY0hkpEXittclti0lBcjWfbRtMeYvrYZ0_jsKdVAQesjT39xU71-ACxSUEE=&lang=sage)

G.axes_color((0,0,1));
show(G)`
but I would like the tick color to match the blue axes color.
all help is appreciated.

I'd like to know if there is any way to change the size of the font of labels (in a plot) without changing the size of the numbers on the ticks.
Thank youDoxMon, 08 Apr 2013 13:42:04 +0200https://ask.sagemath.org/question/7518/Change tick mark format for y-axis to 10^nhttps://ask.sagemath.org/question/26287/change-tick-mark-format-for-y-axis-to-10n/I would like to have the tick mark labels on the y-axis only switch from the exponential format using `e` to a format using `10^n`. For example, instead of `1e19`, I would like to see `10^19`.
I'm sure this is a `tick_formatter` thing, but it is escaping me.
calc314Mon, 23 Mar 2015 19:58:42 +0100https://ask.sagemath.org/question/26287/How to Change Ticks for Y axis Only?https://ask.sagemath.org/question/23596/how-to-change-ticks-for-y-axis-only/ I have a script plotting two numpy arrays using list_plot on semilogx scale. I am plotting angle on Y axis so I want 30/60/90 ticks, but I don't know how to change ticks on Y axis only without typing in anything about x axis. I can't find information about this on sage manual.Rongcui DongSat, 26 Jul 2014 23:07:48 +0200https://ask.sagemath.org/question/23596/Tick Marks and Interceptshttps://ask.sagemath.org/question/10976/tick-marks-and-intercepts/Help! I'm trying to use Sage to plot x-intercepts, and there seems to be a problem when I try to zoom in too far. E.g. if I execute
plot(1-4*x^2,.4999,.5001,tick_formatter=.0001.n(digits=6))
then I get exactly what I expect, but if I execute
plot(1-4*x^2,.49999,.50001,tick_formatter=.00001.n(digits=7))
then I get this error message:
Traceback (click to the left of this block for traceback)
...
Unknown symbol: \verb (at char 0), (line:1, col:1)
Curiously, this seems to be directly related to the fact that my function is crossing the x axis on the domain in question. E.g. if I try
plot(1-4*x^2,1.49999,1.50001,tick_formatter=.00001.n(digits=7))
then everything comes out fine.
Any thoughts on what's going on and/or how to get around it?
Thanks.SlamSat, 01 Feb 2014 14:56:21 +0100https://ask.sagemath.org/question/10976/
