Currently the default notebook application for Sage files is Jupyter, which cannot open these files. I tried
1. Using the built in "sagenb-export" command (ask.sagemath.org/question/35873/how-to-automatically-convert-many-sws-to-ipynb/) and also a standalone package (github.com/vbraun/ExportSageNB) in order to do it, but the notebook list in sagenb is empty (`sagenb-export --list` shows an empty list) and I could not make it to convert files that are not on this list. When running `sage -n`, there is an option "Convert old notebooks to Jupyter", but the list below that line is empty as well Is there a way of importing .sws files into this list?
2. An alternative way was to use the `-sws2rst` and `-rst2ipynb` flags that I found in an answer here (ask.sagemath.org/question/35873/how-to-automatically-convert-many-sws-to-ipynb/?answer=38197#post-id-38197), but that gives me `ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'sagenb'`. Is it possible to install the sagenb module?RolfFri, 02 Oct 2020 09:07:19 -0500https://ask.sagemath.org/question/53703/interact still using sagenb ?https://ask.sagemath.org/question/50196/interact-still-using-sagenb/SageMath 9.0 , Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS

Is there a way to convert all of them at once and save them to a dedicated folder? Currently, when I start sage -notebook, I get to an interface where I can see all my sagenb notebooks and I have the option to click on any of them, convert and open in jupyter. I would actually like to convert all of them without opening them.
This is related to https://ask.sagemath.org/question/35873/how-to-automatically-convert-many-sws-to-ipynb/, but I suppose that there is a better way now. Thanks already for your help!stanWed, 21 Mar 2018 08:36:13 -0500https://ask.sagemath.org/question/41680/Running natively in Windows, can a SageMath 8.0 Jupyter Notebook access "legacy" .sws worksheetshttps://ask.sagemath.org/question/39470/running-natively-in-windows-can-a-sagemath-80-jupyter-notebook-access-legacy-sws-worksheets/ As a Windows 10 user, I recently upgraded from SageMath 6.8 running in VirtualBox to SageMath 8.0 running natively without VirtualBox. I successfully uploaded my "library" of hundreds of .sws worksheets into a SageMath 8.0 "legacy" (SageNB) Notebook (*). But my question is as follows:
***Is there a way to upload my "library" of .sws worksheets into a Jupyter Notebook in SageMath 8.0 running natively in Windows?***
(*) I noticed that on my system, the Windows 10 shortcut produced upon installing SageMath 8.0 had the following target for opening a Jupyter Notebook:
`"C:\Program Files\SageMath 8.0\runtime\bin\mintty.exe" -t 'SageMath 8.0 Notebook Server' -i sagemath.ico /bin/bash --login -c '/opt/sagemath-8.0/sage --notebook jupyter'`
By simply replacing that last word `jupyter` with `sagenb` (and renaming the shortcut), I obtained a shortcut that opens a "legacy" SageMath Notebook (SageNB). This, rather than a Jupyter Notebook, is the only way I've so far managed continue using my "library".res0001Fri, 10 Nov 2017 00:00:34 -0600https://ask.sagemath.org/question/39470/jupyter interface vs. sagenbhttps://ask.sagemath.org/question/38679/jupyter-interface-vs-sagenb/I'm converting to jupyter from sagenb, and am having trouble finding equivalent interface shortcuts for a couple of features.
(a) In sagenb, to get a new cell I can hit a +/wordballoon icon. In jupyter, do I have to go through the pulldown menu or is there some way to get a new cell by mousing inside the notebook?
(b) In sagenb, there is a wysiwyg interface for the explanatory-text cells. In jupyter, I'm not finding one; I seem to have to code everything manually in markdown.
Am I missing something, or are those time-saving features gone?
Also: One feature I wanted that was not present in sagenb was the ability to delete output cells. (This is so I can make a lab notebook for a class without having to make a test copy and then copy/paste all the input cells to a fresh notebook.) Is that possible somehow in jupyter? I see that I can hide output cells, but it's not exactly the same.smbelcasMon, 28 Aug 2017 22:30:00 -0500https://ask.sagemath.org/question/38679/how to (automatically) convert many .sws to .ipynb?https://ask.sagemath.org/question/35873/how-to-automatically-convert-many-sws-to-ipynb/Thanks to Volker Braun, there is a great tool to convert sagenb work sheets to jupyter ones, e.g.:
sage --notebook=export --ipynb=newname.ipynb admin:383
However, I got a folder full of exported worksheets as .sws files that are not in my .sagenb folder. Do I have to import them one by one, then find out their numbers and export using a command equivalent to the above? Surely there must be a way to automate this from the command line or convert directly. Or is there a way to pass an .sws-file to sage --notebook=export? https://github.com/vbraun/ExportSageNB does not mention such a possibility. I installed sagemath and sage-notebook via pacman on archlinux.
I asked them they said it's an upstream issue.
However the console works, but I like cells and notebook. Don't use the console.
I waited hours but no response.

I have been logging in to sagenb [here](http://sagenb.com/) for the past month or so using my Google account. Every time I clicked the Google button it would prompt me to create a profile, even though I had already made one and I had worksheets saved. Today, however, when I click the Google button and try to "create" the account, it tells me "Username already in use". Clearly the username exists, but I never gave it a password - I simply logged in using the Google account. Further, there's no way I see that I can recover or create a password. How do I remedy this, either by logging in with my old Google account or finding a way to obtain a new password? My username is Cook_Me_Plox. For my case, I've used %hide in each cell to hide the cells and code(http://alpha.sagenb.org/home/pub/445/). However the published worksheet always displays the code which is undesirable. Is there anyway to surpress sagenotebook from displaying the cells that include sage commands? Is this a deprecated feature?
I thought it would be a great way to share a "living" version of a document that keen readers could then experiment further with. I guess I could just share my .sws file but that would mean extra steps of setting up a Sage account and uploading it before messing with it. But I suppose that is a workable alternative. Quick question please. Firstly, I must admit that I have not used open id before. I signed into sagenb.org with my google id and then created a profile, say abcde; it did not request me to enter password or anything. I signed out and later when I signed in again using my google id, it kept on refusing to let me use the same profile abcde. Am I doing something wrong? or are we to use different profile every time?
Please help. Thanks.auchan2012Fri, 29 Jun 2012 07:09:09 -0500https://ask.sagemath.org/question/9120/Lost access on Sagenb.orghttps://ask.sagemath.org/question/8818/lost-access-on-sagenborg/Hi
I've recently started to use the sagenb server instead of my own version of sage to circumvent some features that are not currently working on Mac OS. I wanted to play smart by using my gmail account to register on sagenb.org and not have to invent yet an other password for it. That means that I should have a sagenb username (it should be Bertrand_Meyer if I'm not mistaken) but no known password associated with it. Now unfortunately, the link from Google.com to sagenb.org is not working anymore and, by trying different things, a new empty sagenb account (without the underscore) has been associated with my google account.
Here is my question : is there any way to reset by myself the password of a sagenb account or just to recover my lost code ? I've seen in older post that this was a project ?
Thanks
Bertrand

Was I being given a warning? If so what should I do? Wait until my collaborator has left the notebook.
What happens if we both try to make changes at the same?
We are working online. I get taken to sageb.
