Is there an implementation of Singular's Gröbner basis calculation that uses multiple cores? heluaniTue, 05 Nov 2019 07:33:08 -0600http://ask.sagemath.org/question/48615/Run differents scripts in different cpu-coreshttp://ask.sagemath.org/question/10417/run-differents-scripts-in-different-cpu-cores/Hi experts!
Im a newby user of linux, python and sage.
I have a 4-core CPU (intel i3) and a 2-cores cpu in other laptop (intel atom N2600). I wanna run 6 different sage-scripts simultaneously ussing the 6 cores, i.e.: run one script for cpu-core.
I use Linux mint 13 in one laptop (2 cores-cpu) and Ubuntu 13.04 in the other laptop (4 cores).
How can i do that? (without using @parallel decotertor or other difficult stuff).
Waiting for your answers.
Thanks a lot!!mresimulatorMon, 05 Aug 2013 12:28:58 -0500http://ask.sagemath.org/question/10417/parallel multiple cores - algorithmhttp://ask.sagemath.org/question/10409/parallel-multiple-cores-algorithm/Hi experts!
I have a intel core i3 (x4). I wanna take adventage of multiple cores CPU.
My Monte Carlo algorithm can be summarized like that:
N=[N1, N2, ..., N20]
for n in N:
execute 100 times the algorithm related with 'n'
append some value (mean of the 100 times executed algorithm) in a output-numpy array LALALA (LALALA(n)))
So input is N, and output is an np.array LALALA (with 20 elements, each one related with one element in N)
How can I do for apply multicore proccesing?
Please explaing this to me in detail. Im a newby user and the sage-web-tutorials doesnt work.
Waiting for your answers.
Thanks a lotmresimulatorSat, 03 Aug 2013 10:44:06 -0500http://ask.sagemath.org/question/10409/multiple cores - adventage - How enable it?http://ask.sagemath.org/question/10405/multiple-cores-adventage-how-enable-it/Hi experts!
I have a TOSHIBA laptop with next specifications:
4x Intel core i3 CPU M350 2.27GHz
3gb RAM
I write a script of Monte Carlo simulation that work fine, but i would speed up it.
How can I take advantage of the multiple core proccesor in sage-execution of my script?
For example: in my script, a extesed algorithm is executed for 20 different values in a list N (N=[N1,...,N20]), 100 times for each N-element.
It is possible taht each CPU-core execute the algorithm for only one N-element?
In this case, i will reduce the execution time in a factor of:
20 (N-element)/ 4 (CPU-cores) = 5
Please explain step by step (im a totaly newby...)
Waiting for your answers.
Thanks a lot.
