Is there some nice plug-in for this or do you use another editor for writing in Sage? I can't manually add tabs in Notepad++ because then the code looks awful in Sage since it places (multiple) `^I` in front of lines of code. Thanks in advance for any help.AlgebearTue, 14 May 2019 16:15:20 +0200https://ask.sagemath.org/question/46519/Running sage / cocalchttps://ask.sagemath.org/question/42284/running-sage-cocalc/ I don't know if this is the place but I'm confused as to how to run a sage program. I'm told that there's not really a sage editor or whatnot does cocalc allow you to write an entire program and then run it or does it autorun any command entered into it?standardtrickynessMon, 07 May 2018 17:07:37 +0200https://ask.sagemath.org/question/42284/Using SAGE from an editorhttps://ask.sagemath.org/question/40279/using-sage-from-an-editor/I was wondering if there is a way to use SAGE in an editor like I can with the Python GUI Idle. I only know how to run it using the terminal or the ntoebook, but if I want to write a lengthy program in SAGE involving several files, I need to start using attach, which is bothersome.
I'm using SAGEmath 8.1 for Windows and Windows 10. I have also Notepad++ in case it helps. I am willing to install any editor that works painlessly with SAGE but I'd rather not use EMACS/Vim. Too many bad memories from college.

I only know how to run it using the terminal, but then if I want to write a lengthy program in SAGE I have to retype it line by line whenever I make a typo.
Also, can I store definitions I write using the SAGE library to be used later (like in python I could make a module)?
I'm using Python 2.7.2, OSX 10.6.8, Sage version 4.1.1 and I have Komodo Edit version 7.1.3.

Is there a way to:
1. Create a file in a text editor of my choice
2. run it in sage
3. have the ouput automatically opened in the browser
Thanks for your answersLyndaFri, 08 Oct 2010 07:05:36 +0200https://ask.sagemath.org/question/7724/
