Setting Chrome as the default browser is not an option, I want to keep Opera.
I was able to do this with Python by generating a config file and changing the app's default browser, but I can't find any information on how to do this in with SageMath. I use Windows 10, in case that makes any difference in the process.TitoYisusSat, 25 Sep 2021 13:58:00 +0200https://ask.sagemath.org/question/59155/Symbolic solvehttps://ask.sagemath.org/question/8707/symbolic-solve/Following the [change of variable thread](http://ask.sagemath.org/question/1113),
I wanted to streamline the whole process.
Namely, using the same example in the above thread, I'd like to say
integral_def_change(x*cos(x^2+1), (x, 0, 2*pi), u == x^2 + 1, u)
The difference is, I wanted also Sage to automatically solve for `x`
instead of providing `x = sqrt(u - 1)`, say. But when I tried
solve(u == x^2 + 1, x)[0].rhs()
the output was `r1`.
1- What exactly is r1 ??
A way out (see this [thread](http://ask.sagemath.org/question/1105))
seems to make of the solution a function of `u`
f(u) = solve(u == x^2 + 1, x)[0].rhs()
Now f is
u |--> -sqrt(u - 1)
2- What can I do to get `+sqrt(u - 1)` instead? Is this related to the
[positive function question there](http://ask.sagemath.org/question/989)?Green diodSat, 11 Feb 2012 11:56:41 +0100https://ask.sagemath.org/question/8707/500: Internal server error. On password changehttps://ask.sagemath.org/question/39114/500-internal-server-error-on-password-change/Hi!
Just encountered some problems in changing the admin password in sage-8.0 (running in Linux Mint 18.2 || Ubunutu 16.04)
Downloaded sage-8.0 binary (sage-8.0-Ubuntu_16.04-i686.tar.bz2).
./sage went fine and was able to set password for admin.
notebook() opened a page on my browser: localhost:8080 with admin already logged-on.
Problems:
1. After logging out of admin, I **couldn't login again** with the password I just set (upon starting with ./sage)
2. Trying to **change the password** through the "Settings" on the upper right of the 'admin' page gave a page with a "500: internal server error." On the console, I got a somewhat lengthy error message from python, which I have included below:

Thank you in advance for any insights/clues as to what might be causing the error!
Best!justineuroWed, 11 Oct 2017 08:46:31 +0200https://ask.sagemath.org/question/39114/Can one change the default language of a sagecell with new instance?https://ask.sagemath.org/question/28833/can-one-change-the-default-language-of-a-sagecell-with-new-instance/ Suppose I wish to have multiple, linked sagecells and create them using:
// Make *any* div with class 'rCell' a Sage cell
sagecell.makeSagecell({inputLocation: 'div.rCell',
defaultLanguage: "r",
languages: sagecell.allLanguages,
linked: true});
Is it possible to change the default language later when the nth cell is created? That is, can I change the default language in the div class="rCell" block?
I tried redefining the class before the nth cell with a new default language, but that did not change default language. And, I can simply instruct a user to change the default language before evaluation, but I would like it to be more streamlined. The main thing is that I need to keep the cells linked.
Thanks for any help.Scott DilleryThu, 13 Aug 2015 14:04:36 +0200https://ask.sagemath.org/question/28833/Change of variable in an integrationhttps://ask.sagemath.org/question/8679/change-of-variable-in-an-integration/How to indicate a change of variable to Sage in an integration when Sage seems clueless?Green diodSat, 28 Jan 2012 18:59:27 +0100https://ask.sagemath.org/question/8679/
