How do you handle the fact that
`log(7)` prints out as `log(7)`, and only after expressing it as `log(7.0)` do you get `1.94591014905531`
I would try and generate the sum using the function `primes_first_n(n)`. However, `log(primes_first_n(n))` is not a valid expression, and I don't know if it is because of the point about the logarithmic function above, or it is because log cannot be applied to a vectorial expression.toniMon, 22 May 2023 14:10:52 +0200https://ask.sagemath.org/question/68639/How can I describe incircles and calculate its area with sage?https://ask.sagemath.org/question/43536/how-can-i-describe-incircles-and-calculate-its-area-with-sage/How can I describe incircles and calculate its area with sage?
For example, like if you know the triangle with sides' length 4,6 and 9, how can I know the incircle's area with sage?pizzaFri, 31 Aug 2018 16:52:50 +0200https://ask.sagemath.org/question/43536/How can I calculate this sum? (accept both sage(cocalc) and by hand)https://ask.sagemath.org/question/43364/how-can-i-calculate-this-sum-accept-both-sagecocalc-and-by-hand/ How can I calculate this sum?
1/1-(x+x^2)^2
* This is the sum of infinity formula : a/1-r, while a=1 and r=(x+x^2)^2
Please also confirm if my formula is right.pizzaMon, 13 Aug 2018 18:24:41 +0200https://ask.sagemath.org/question/43364/Perform arithmetic on previous answer/result, without copying/re-entering it?https://ask.sagemath.org/question/10295/perform-arithmetic-on-previous-answerresult-without-copyingre-entering-it/I enter the following in sage:
<code>361-4*-216 #sage comment: I would like sqrt this without copying & pasting<code>
I'd like to then obtain the sqrt of that answer after its been generated.
On the Ti-83 plus, the device was able to generate 'Ans' after I pressed an arithmetic symbol such as division.bxdinSat, 29 Jun 2013 19:32:56 +0200https://ask.sagemath.org/question/10295/solve and calculatehttps://ask.sagemath.org/question/8673/solve-and-calculate/How can I solave an equation like x+z^2=1 and then calculate x with z=3 from the solution?
