Look at this code
var('π c ϕ')
C(q) = c*q
π(q) = ϕ*q-C(q)
show(LatexExpr(r"C(q) = "),C(q))
show(LatexExpr(r"π(q) = "),π(q))
It generates an error because $\phi$ is interpreted as $\varphi$. If I replace the first by the second there is no error.CyrilleMon, 05 Dec 2022 15:51:46 +0100https://ask.sagemath.org/question/65231/Unable to use $\Chi$ on Markdown cellhttps://ask.sagemath.org/question/40273/unable-to-use-chi-on-markdown-cell/ I'm using SageMath 8.0 on Windows native. I try to write the upper case Greek Letter Chi on a markdown cell on a Jupyter Notebook but it is not recognized as such. By the way, lower case \chi is OK.

I'm using the following code to generate an image of a triangle for a trigonometry quiz.
p = polygon2d([[0,0], [0,3], [4,0]], fill = False, axes = False)
p += text("$\theta$", (3, 0.2), fontsize = 22)
show(p)
The issue is that Sage doesn't seem to recognise $\theta$ as LaTeX, even though it's in dollar signs. In the corner of the triangle, it puts "heta". Why isn't this typesetting correctly? How can I fix it?
Thank you.mathochistWed, 10 Dec 2014 20:22:46 +0100https://ask.sagemath.org/question/25209/
