However, when I set up the sage notebook, the expression returns no result in browser
For instance, if you enter 1+1, then click "Evaluate", the cell turns green but then it keeps running and never returns anything. The terminal displays the following:
sage: notebook(interface='', server_pool=['sage1@localhost'],
....: ulimit='-v 500000', secure=True, directory="/tmp/work", accounts=True)
The notebook files are stored in: work.sagenb

http://ask.sagemath.org/question/8171/sage-47sagenb-returns-no-result/?answer=12450#post-id-12450From the sound of things, it seems like the problem is coming from the `server_pool=['sage1@localhost']` option you're passing to notebook. For that to work, you need to have a `sage1` user created on localhost as well as making it so that the user that runs the notebook can SSH into the `sage1` account without a password.
You should try to see if the notebook works correctly for you without the `server_pool` option and then check to see that those two conditions I mentioned above are satisfied.Tue, 21 Jun 2011 07:01:39 -0500http://ask.sagemath.org/question/8171/sage-47sagenb-returns-no-result/?answer=12450#post-id-12450Comment by riemann for
From the sound of things, it seems like the problem is coming from the
server_pool=['sage1@localhost']
option you're passing to notebook. Interestingly, there is actually an account called sage1 which I never created on the server.Tue, 21 Jun 2011 07:21:36 -0500http://ask.sagemath.org/question/8171/sage-47sagenb-returns-no-result/?comment=21566#post-id-21566
