If I do
> f(x)=x
> plot(f)
my sagemath completely shuts down.
Is this a problem with the installation? I uninstalled and installed again, the problem still remains.Wed, 02 Jun 2021 16:03:10 +0200https://ask.sagemath.org/question/57409/plot-not-working-in-windows/Comment by mathstudent for <p>I am using sagemath on windows 10.

f(x)=x
plot(f,x,1,2)Wed, 02 Jun 2021 17:32:45 +0200https://ask.sagemath.org/question/57409/plot-not-working-in-windows/?comment=57410#post-id-57410Answer by slelievre for <p>I am using sagemath on windows 10.

https://ask.sagemath.org/question/57409/plot-not-working-in-windows/?answer=57417#post-id-57417This is a known issue of SageMath 9.2 for Windows on some computers.
- [sage-windows issue 57: Plotting kills Sagemath (on some machines)](https://github.com/sagemath/sage-windows/issues/57)
Hopefully it will be solved in Sage 9.3 when it is released for Windows.
In the meanwhile, using Sage 9.1 should work for you.
Or if you feel like it, you could build Sage from source, following
- [SageMath README: Windows](https://github.com/sagemath/sage/blob/9.1/README.md#windows-preparing-the-platform)
- [SageMath installation manual: install from source](https://doc.sagemath.org/html/en/installation/source.html)
