If open the sage notebook server the command windows states "Please wait while the old SageNB Notebook server starts..." But that still seems to be the default. There is also the option to use jupyter notebook. Is that going to be the new default? The ArchWiki seems to state just that: [ArchWiki](https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/SageMath#Sage_Notebook)
To summarize, there is "the old SageNB", jupyter, and the Sage Math Cloud notebook, is there a plan for what is the default or recommended option?Tue, 13 Dec 2016 09:28:26 -0600https://ask.sagemath.org/question/36002/current-state-of-sage-notebooks/Answer by kcrisman for <p>I was just curious as to what the current plan for notebooks in sage are. https://ask.sagemath.org/question/36002/current-state-of-sage-notebooks/?answer=36003#post-id-36003Once all remaining issues with porting old notebooks over to Jupyter ones (notably [interactive widgets](https://trac.sagemath.org/ticket/21267)) are dealt with, probably Jupyter will become the default (it already is on the virtual machine solution). See also [Trac 19740](https://trac.sagemath.org/ticket/19740). Sage Math Cloud worksheets are substantively different and perhaps less likely to be used on a local Sage notebook server.Tue, 13 Dec 2016 09:38:59 -0600https://ask.sagemath.org/question/36002/current-state-of-sage-notebooks/?answer=36003#post-id-36003
