https://ask.sagemath.org/question/26839/something-like-mathematicacdf-player-for-sage/?answer=26840#post-id-26840I literally *just* emailed someone about precisely this thing. You should try the [Sage cell server](http://sagecell.sagemath.org/).
[Example of Mean Value Theorem](http://sagecell.sagemath.org/?z=eJxtkMtuwjAQRfdI_IOFQMyQCSWwqSpF6ifw6A6VyknsYMnEaRxat1_fCUkrVcIr-557PY9nU7WqkXk7HhVKizco06M3FdTmYb0ISBDi5QZP62hN6hTIVhCiDRKzKHceHjuPzDwEfKU89dYUqoE4oYSWqwTxaTwSfCRlIhWd3L81-1koh1fdmIvqpcJoDZoC9mjLUm1dyxIE4m9wABclK2agIcNYg0R8gCyWA90xsqZScARJN0qQUeft2nTWNem8UcV8sO__qvSd5LjguXOMNF9_C9_JHbqc4w36O4UIcuryXLH3mG-VJqsh6s_uE7bRLtpHh0E6txcLk5fmy1SlaJ3QpipEe1bCW1crod6v0t4QS7fxP6S9qsm_tHaNmJa8ynTmp5OZla0KUCL-AA97g4Y=&lang=sage) (not very pretty formatting but it was what I was just working on)
Now, one does need a web-enabled device for this. So there is that. But note that (as far as I understand it) the CDF player basically *is* Mma except without being allowed to do anything with it other than play CDF files, so it's perhaps not quite as light-weight as one might think.Fri, 15 May 2015 19:15:36 +0200https://ask.sagemath.org/question/26839/something-like-mathematicacdf-player-for-sage/?answer=26840#post-id-26840Comment by behzad for
I literally just emailed someone about precisely this thing. https://ask.sagemath.org/question/26839/something-like-mathematicacdf-player-for-sage/?comment=26842#post-id-26842@kcrisman Thanks, but there can be a huge difference between an online manipulation and an offline one especially on a slow internet connection, e.g. your example doesn't look smooth - in contrast to a similar CDF Player manipulation.
I don't know how, but the previous versions of CDF Player installation were below 100 MB, while at the same time Mathematica installation was about 1 GB.Sat, 16 May 2015 08:55:11 +0200https://ask.sagemath.org/question/26839/something-like-mathematicacdf-player-for-sage/?comment=26842#post-id-26842Comment by kcrisman for
I literally just emailed someone about precisely this thing. https://ask.sagemath.org/question/26839/something-like-mathematicacdf-player-for-sage/?comment=26846#post-id-26846Yes, the "interact" functionality is not compiled. My understanding is that there is not so much of a technical barrier to making them seem even "smoother" but I haven't worked on that lately. There is no identical functionality, in that sense.Sun, 17 May 2015 02:36:57 +0200https://ask.sagemath.org/question/26839/something-like-mathematicacdf-player-for-sage/?comment=26846#post-id-26846
