(a) Do you have Mac OS X 10.x.y? Ubuntu x.y? Other?
(b) Did you download source or binary? From what page?
(c) What commands did you run?
Note: never compile Sage as root; never run Sage as root.
Note: to display code properly (such as commands you ran, or the error message that you got), you can select the corresponding lines and click the "101 010" button.Sat, 21 Feb 2015 10:02:34 -0600http://ask.sagemath.org/question/25880/sage-install-error/?comment=25882#post-id-25882Answer by slelievre for
checking for sqrt in -lm... no

http://ask.sagemath.org/question/25880/sage-install-error/?answer=25901#post-id-25901I suppose the OS on your computer is GNU/Linux.
Try installing `libm`, maybe by running the following command in a terminal.
sudo apt-get install libm
and try building Sage again.Mon, 23 Feb 2015 14:29:18 -0600http://ask.sagemath.org/question/25880/sage-install-error/?answer=25901#post-id-25901
