I have no output when I use commands like view, pretty_print or I select the Typeset button on the top of the notebook.
If for example I write
view(1)
the output is just an empty line. Same with pretty_print or if I select the Typeset button. It was working until a few days ago. I have no idea what the problem can be.
Where can I start to look for the problem?
('Sage Version 5.8, Release Date: 2013-03-15' on osx 10.6.8)
...
any suggestions?
if I use view(1) in the command line I obtain a pdf with '1' in it. If I use pretty_print in the command line I obtain the html code... it seems a problem with the visualization... can someone that know how sage works help me to understand what I could check... which kind of test could be useful to understand the problem? I am really stuck here...
...
new version ('Sage Version 5.9, Release Date: 2013-04-30') and same error...
as far as I understand sage makes use of MathJax to render mathematics.
how can I check that MathJax is properly installed and that it is working?

http://ask.sagemath.org/question/10096/visualization-of-mathematical-formulas-in-the-browser-is-not-working/?comment=17733#post-id-17733Firefox 20.0. javascript enabled. I have just found that everything works in the default firefox profile. I was using a clean profile only for sage, with no addons: If I create a new profile and try to use it to run sage I see the problem, and the page www.mathjax.org/demos/tex-samples/ is not correctly visualized in the new profile (blank lines in place of the formulas as in the sage browser). I have installed sage on a different mac: same osx, same Firefox and no problem with the visualization in different profiles...Wed, 08 May 2013 23:50:05 -0500http://ask.sagemath.org/question/10096/visualization-of-mathematical-formulas-in-the-browser-is-not-working/?comment=17733#post-id-17733Comment by rickhg12hs for <p>I have a problem with the visualization of formulas in the browser. http://ask.sagemath.org/question/10096/visualization-of-mathematical-formulas-in-the-browser-is-not-working/?comment=17727#post-id-17727Really does seem like a Firefox issue. Perhaps resetting/reinstalling Firefox might fix the problem. There are mozilla help websites that you may want visit to view/ask questions. If you care about your bookmarks, I'd export those for a backup before doing anything. Apparently resetting Firefox retains/destroys certain info, so be sure to understand that.Thu, 09 May 2013 03:15:50 -0500http://ask.sagemath.org/question/10096/visualization-of-mathematical-formulas-in-the-browser-is-not-working/?comment=17727#post-id-17727Comment by abc for <p>I have a problem with the visualization of formulas in the browser.
