It's definitely been used with openid, as the now-defunct sagen.org used this for quite some time. You can see that less than two years ago we even fixed openid. However, I don't know whether it does the newest Google implementation thereof.

As you can see from the serving scripts and user manager, it's in the notebook and needs to be enabled in notebook configuration interface under "Settings" in the notebook (assuming you are acting as administrator). You'll need to enable SSL for this.

You might also be able to enable it using whatever launch script you use.
