I didn't figure out how to upgrade a binary install, so I installed from source and followed the directions in this thread: http://ask.sagemath.org/question/349/updating-scipy-in-sage

I didn't figure out how to upgrade a binary install, so I installed from source and followed the directions in this thread: http://ask.sagemath.org/question/349/updating-scipy-in-sage
The only thing I had to do beyond the instructions was to delete the Patch directory from scipy-0.11 directory prior to compressing. Worked like a charm! Thanks.
