Beyond the idea in the other answer, I think you'll just have to keep up with the max and min values from the solutions in your loop and then use these to give you the necessary dimensions for your vector field plot. This is what I've done in the past. I don't know of any automated way to choose nice initial conditions and time spans to get great pictures.
