Why could not I install sage-9.1-OSX on Catalina 10.15.4

Machine and OS: iMac 21.5 inch 2019 macOS Catalina 10.15.4

Downloaded sage-9.1-OSX today (27 May 2020) Extracted SageMath to /Users/mahesan started ./sage on from within /Users/mahesan/SageMath on Terminal Installation stopped with the following message: OSError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/Users/mahesan/SageMath/local/share/giac/doc/el/casinter/Makefile' :-( I am wondering who has to create those directories and the Makefile
